ABOUT the PHOTOGRAPHER
Alan Kettler is a visionary artist
and photographer who has held a life-long interest in the beauty
and wonder of the natural world. Many of his natural pictures and
designs have been published as posters, brochures, websites, and
books about ecology and nature. Mr. Kettler is one of the leading
ecological designers in the United States. Over the last 30 years,
his clients have included many large and prestigious organizations.
He has provided illustration, graphic design, and photography for
companies as diverse as the National Geographic Society, Discovery
Communications, Time-Life Books, the World Bank, the Peace Corps,
the United Nations, Coca Cola, the Bronx Zoo, ABC News, NBC Advertising,
NASA, the EPA, the World Wildlife Fund, Greenpeace, and more.
As a writer and photographer, he
had many magazine articles on gardening and landscaping published
in New England.
Mr. Kettler continually finds fascination
and delight in nature, and strives to capture images that other
people can enjoy. With his pictures of clouds, trees, water, animals,
people, and gardens, he wishes to bring the beauty of the outdoors
into the buildings where we live and work, where most of us spend
our days and nights.
His Healing Arts Photography fits
advantageously into many settings, such as hospitals, offices, homes,
corporate centers, hotels, and more. The photographs are meant to
be calming, peaceful, inviting, and picturesque. His image archive
is the culmination of many years of photography and thousands of
hours of shooting, and is constantly growing through his persistence
in finding and capturing imagery that can inspire the imagination
and spirit of the viewer.
